Subject 01.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING APPLIED TO SEA ENERGY

A - Study of environmental conditions (wind, waves and currents) for the design of fixed and floating structures. 

B - Harnessing wind, wave energy, economic and environmental assessment of plants for extracting energy from sea waves.

C - Study of maritime temperature and salinity conditions and their influence on offshore projects

Subject 02.

NAVAL ENGINEERING APPLIED TO OFFSHORE STRUCTURES

A - Physical and operational characteristics of vessels and offshore platforms. 

B - Shipbuilding and Platform Basics. 

C - Naval systems and auxiliary systems. 

D - Naval architecture – buoyancy, stability and damage.

Subject 03.

OIL PROSPECTION AND RESERVOIRS

A - Oil prospecting: main segments of the hydrocarbon industry. 

B - Elements of geology applied to the hydrocarbon industry, evaluation of formations through profiles. 

C - Reservoir engineering: reservoirs, oil recovery mechanisms, oil and natural gas reserves.

OFFSHORE WELL ENGINEERING

A - Introduction to well drilling and geopressure, drill string and drill bits, oil well casing, cementing and drilling fluids, "kick" well control and cuttings carrying, introduction to geopressure and directional drilling.

B - Notions of soil and beginning of well. blow out preventers – bop, subsea wellhead system – “tortional capacity”, drilling riser, drilling riser tensioners and heave compensators. subsea wellhead system.

C - Well conditioning, cementing evaluation, perforation, sand control, production column dimensioning and selection of materials, completion equipment.

SUBSEA INSTALLATIONS, RISERS AND SUBSEA LINES

A - Manifold, connection system and equipment installations, manifold, connection system and equipment installations – case study, overview of subsea oil production systems.

B - Flexible pipelines, risers and submarine pipelines, integrity and inspection of flexible pipelines, non-destructive tests.

C – Metallurgical technology, corrosion and corrosion prevention, deterioration mechanisms.

PRODUCTION SYSTEMS AND OFFSHORE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

A - Production facilities, process plant, primary oil and gas processing.

B - Oil and gas production equipment.

C - Gas treatment system, produced water treatment system, injection water treatment system.

D - Electrical systems in stationary and marine production units

FLOW WARRANTY AND OFFSHORE PUMPS AND COMPRESSORS

A - Centrifugal pumps and compression systems.

B - Gas compression systems, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors.

C - Fluids, reservoirs and black oil characterization, natural elevation

& artificial– gas lift.

D - Elevation – multiphase pumping, multiphase flow.

OFFSHORE RENEWABLE ENERGY

A – Solar Radiation and its Energy.

B – Photovoltaic Technologies.

C – Circulation – Winds – Wind farms in Brazil and worldwide. Energy Efficiencies.

F – Energy of Currents.

G – Thermal Energy of the Sea.
